Program Details

Objective: The broad objective of the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application program is to prepare graduate students for productive careers in software industry. The programs thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented course relevant to the latest computer software development. The program emphasizes the application or software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/ networking and commercial problems.

This PG Diploma Programme is a stand-alone programme consists of 10 courses worth 36 credits. It has been designed with a semester approach in mind. The courses are aimed at skill development in computers using various technologies. It prepares the student to aim for a programmer level/web developer in a software company to design and develop small business application software or lab personnel/technician in institutions or a freelancer to develop software projects.

Programme Details: The programme has been divided into two semesters per year (January-July and July-December). Consequently, there will be two examinations every year- one in the month of June for the January to June Semester courses and the other is December for the July to December semester courses. The students are at liberty to appear any of the examinations conducted by the University during the year subject to completing the minimum time frame and the other formalities prescribed for the programme.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Any Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized University with 50% marks AND Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or Graduation level. 

Those who don't have Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or graduation level, these students are required to successfully complete BCS-012 (Graduate level Mathematics course) as Bridge Course. 

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (DURING ADMISSION):

  1. Transcript of SLC, +2 & Bachelor Level (2 copies each)
  2. Convocation certificate or provisional certificate of bachelor (2 copies each)
  3. 3 PP size and 2 Auto size Photographs
  4. For proof of date of Birth one should submit Xerox copy of valid passport/ citizenship. (2 copies of any one) (Note: Date of birth should be mentioned in AD).
